Still A Couple Dates Left For Shorewood Leaf Pickup
High winds have (hopefully) made the last of the leaves fall in 2019. Here's when Shorewood is collecting them.

SHORWEOOD, WI — The fall of 2019 has left residents wondering whether they should rake the leaves before the snow falls, or clear the walk before the leaves fall.
It's been that kind of season.
As a sign that Fall may indeed be returning, the Village of Shorewood is resuming vacuum leaf collection starting Monday, Nov. 18.

Vacuum leaf collection began on Monday, Oct. 21. Leaves will be collected on a weekly basis. Leaves are picked up on a schedule that is based on where you live. You can see when leaf pickup is through a map provided by the Department of Public Works.

Here are a few guidelines provided by the village:

Please have your leaf piles out by 7 a.m. on your collection day.
Please rake leaves into piles at the edge of the curb. Do not place leaves into the street.
Leaves in the street are more likely to clog inlet drains and cause street flooding.
