Shorewood Police Investigate Bicycle Thefts: Report

SHORWEOOD, WI — Police in Shorweood say they fielded to reports of stolen bicycles in the village - each reported by homeowners.

According to Shorewood Police call information, officers responded to a home on the 4500 block of N. Marlborhough Drive at about 9 a.m. on Sept. 3 on a report of a burglary.

When police investigated, the homeowner told officers that some time between 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 2 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 3, a suspect entered a closed garage and stole four bicycles. A value has not been determined yet for the stolen property.

Police said they responded to a home on the 3800 block of N. N. Downer Ave. at about 5 p.m. on Sept. 2 for a previous bicycle theft.

In that incident, Shorewood Police said a suspect stole a bicycle valued at more than $700. The homeowner told police that the theft took place some time between 9 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 19.
