Shorewood Police Investigating Would-Be Carjacking

The suspect tried to drive away in the victim's vehicle, but he was unable to operate it. Instead, the suspect stole other personal items

SHOREWOOD, WI— Shorewood police are investigating an armed robbery in which the victim was demanded out of his car at gunpoint.

On November 29 around 7:21 p.m., police responded to the 1600 block of E Capital Drive for an armed robbery.

The victim told police he was driving when he was passed by the suspect. The suspect then slowed down and forced the victim to stop.
The driver in the front car got out and with a gun, demanded the victim out of his own car.

The suspect tried to drive away in the victim’s vehicle, but he was unable to operate it.

Instead, the suspect stole other personal items from the victim and fired two rounds into the victim’s car, which was unoccupied at the time.

The driver and the passenger in his car then drove away in their own car.

The suspect is described as a Black man under 20-year-old. He’s roughly 6’ to 6’2”. He has a skinny build and he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. He was driving an older silver or grey sedan.

The victim was not injured.
