Shorewood Staple Harleys Menswear Store Sold To Green Bay Firm

Harleys owner Tim Ryan said the company will retain its name and its five employees.

SHOREWOOD - Harleys, purveyors of fine men's apparel since 1948, has been sold to the owners of The Haberdasher Limited of Green Bay.

Owner Tim Ryan, 68, bought the store in 2000 after being a longtime employee but sold the business because he wanted to retire. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Ryan says he is very happy the store will keep its Harleys name and its five employees.

New owner Daniel Wickman says he doesn't plan many changes, other than a few new offerings for those who don't dress as formal, given the store's reputation in the community for high-end clothing.
