Shorewood's Winter Parking Regulations Now In Effect

Winter parking regulations restrict parking on the east and north sides of most residential streets.

SHOREWOOD, WI— Shorewood's winter parking regulations take effect starting December 1, according to the Village.

Winter parking regulations restrict parking on the east and north sides of most residential streets with a few exceptions. Drivers should watch for signage indicating the restriction when parking in residential areas.

In the rare instance of an extremely heavy or prolonged snow event, a "Snow Emergency" may be declared, according to the Village. In the event of a snow emergency, parking on any street in the village is prohibited between midnight and 6:00 a.m. with the below exceptions.

Parking will be permitted if otherwise allowed in these emergency parking zones: Capitol Drive (from Downer to Farwell and from Newhall to Wilson), and Oakland Avenue (from Kenmore to Kensington and from Edgewood to Shorewood Boulevard).

In the event of heavy snowfall or a severe winter storm, you can check the Village website to see if a snow emergency has been declared.

Violators are subject to parking citations as well as being towed away at owner's expense.
