Suspect Set Up Man In Shorewood Assault, Robbery: Report
Police say a man was assaulted on the Oak Leaf Bike Trail in Shorewood, and that it was the product of a setup. Here's what happened:

SHOREWOOD, WI — Authorities in Shorewood say a 20-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested and charged after he befriended a man, only to set him up for a robbery.
D'Quailynn Garmon, 20, of Milwaukee, has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and identity theft. He's being held on a $35,000 cash bond in the Milwaukee County Jail, court records state.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, Garmon befriended a man in August at Spector Field. The two smoked marijuana together and agreed to hang out. Police say the two were walking together along the Oak Leaf Bike Trail in Shorewood on the morning of Aug. 31 when Garmon turned on his new friend.

Police say a suspect came out of the woods and jumped the man. Police say he and Garmon proceeded to strike him with a pistol, punch and kick him, and drag him into the woods off the bike path.
Police said Garmon and the second man forced him to swallow an unspecified pill, forced him to factory reset his cell phone, stole his credit and debit cards, and then stole his SUV.

According to the criminal complaint, the man was able to escape during the confrontation, and spoke with police.
Police say they learned the man's credit card was used at a local BP gas station. When police reviewed the surveillance footage, they identified Garmon.
According to the criminal complaint, an officer on patrol found Garmon walking on the 1000 block of E. Capitol Drive wearing clothing that fit the decription given by his victim.
Upon his arrest, Garmon told police that he intended to set up the man, and knew he would be able to take advantage of him.
If convicted, Garmon could face up to 28 years behind bars, in addition to any fines he may incur.
