Suspicious Vehicle Outside Atwater 'Not A Threat' Police Say

Shorewood Police said they tracked down and interviewed the driver in the incident from Atwater School.

SHOREWOOD, WI — Police in Shorewood say a suspicious driver seen outside Atwater School on Feb. 24 was not a threat after police learned he was just driving slowly to find the address for where he was going.

On Monday, Feb. 24, Atwater School officials reported a suspicious vehicle that was seen driving slowly on Murray Ave. during lunch recess.

Shorewood Police said they tracked down and interviewed the driver in the incident from Atwater School that took place on Monday.

Police said they were able to verify that the driver of the vehicle had a legitimate purpose to be in the area of the school, and was driving slowly through the area as he attempted to locate an address that was his intended destination.

The driver was not engaging an any illegal or suspicious activity in this incident, police said.
