Wisconsin AG Hires Consultant To Check Crime Lab Delays
Attorney General Brad Schimel has hired a consultant to find methods for speeding up evidence testing

Attorney General Brad Schimel has hired a consultant to find methods for speeding up evidence testing at Wisconsin's crime labs.
Schimel has hired Florida International University's National Forensic Science Technology Center under a $42,870 contract to review operations of the three state crime labs to point out any inefficiencies or staffing needs, The Associated Press reported. The consultant's report is expected to be completed by September.
Democrat Josh Kaul, Schimel's opponent in the November general election, has criticized the attorney general for mismanaging the labs.
