Youths Who Held Up Shorewood Resident Arrested: Report

Police in Shorewood say three youths held up a resident who was loading their car early Saturday. Here's how they were caught:

SHOREWOOD, WI — Police in Shorewood say three youths held up a Shorewood resident, and stole their vehicle. The youths were later caught in Milwaukee, as they were chased down by police following a traffic stop.

Shorewood Police say three youths on bicycles approached a person while they were loading items into their vehicle on the 2600 block of E. Beverly Road at just before 5 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say the three youths demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle, with one of them implying they had a gun. According to police, the victim gave the keys to the suspects. The suspects then fled in the stolen vehicle, along with other personal items stolen from the victim.

Later that morning, Milwaukee Police pulled the same vehicle over and took the three youths into custody. Police say the youths ran from the vehicle, and were chased down by police.
