Upon arrival, the Fire Officer discovered a fully involved structure at the Croell Concrete Ready-Mix plant. Additional units responded to assist and due to the amount of fire, the Incident Commander selected a “Defensive” Operation to ensure the safety of firefighters and to protect the adjacent buildings.
The building was an old storage building for the concrete plant that had a mix of items and not readily used in the daily operations. CFR was able to confine the fire to that structure and fully extinguish the flames by 10:55 p.m.
