Laramie County Community College Hosts Region IX Basketball Tournament
For the first time in school history, LCCC will host the Region IX men basketball tournament.
For the first time in school history, LCCC will host the Region IX men basketball tournament. The Golden Eagles enter the tournament ranked #1 in the north division and will take on McCook Community College on Thursday, Apr. 8 at 7 p.m.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase the hard work and dedication of our players and our coaches. It has been a year full of uncertainty and change, we are excited to end it on a positive note with our men’s basketball team participating and hosting this year’s Region IX Tournament,” said Dr. Cindy Henning, interim athletic director at LCCC.
The Region IX Tournament will feature the top eight men’s teams in the division. Representing
the North Division are LCCC, Eastern Wyoming College, Western Wyoming Community College,
and Casper College. The South Division will be represented by: Northeastern Junior College, Otero Junior College, Lamar Community College, and McCook Community College.

Tournament play will begin on Thursday, Apr. 8 with games at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and LCCC taking the court at 7 p.m. Games are open to public, advance tickets purchases are requested. Ticket and game information are available at GoLCCC.com
LCCC’s women’s basketball team has also advanced to the Region IX Tournament as the #3 seed in the north division and will play Western Nebraska Community College in La Junta, CO on Apr. 8 at 2:30 p.m.
