Cheyenne council to vote on 3% employee raises, 2026 police contract (capcity.news) — Cheyenne residents may see a 3% cost-of-living raise for city employees and a new police contract as the City Council meets tonight at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Councilmembers will also decide the fate of the historic Auxiliary Pumping Station, consider major arboretum renovations, approve new police equipment purchases, and advance several annexation and residential development plans.
   

2. Cheyenne Pair Await Arraignment For Allegedly Forcing Gallons Of Water Down Teen (cowboystatedaily.com) — Cheyenne authorities are handling a serious child abuse case in which a local woman and her boyfriend are accused of forcing a 14-year-old boy to drink excessive amounts of water, leading to seizures and hospitalization. Cheyenne police, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, and Laramie County District Court all play central roles as the teen’s treatment, interviews, and upcoming arraignments move forward.
   

3. Local woman marks century of life in Wyoming (torringtontelegram.com) — Family and friends in Cheyenne recently celebrated Mary Helen Ahlbrandt’s 100th birthday at Life Care Center, honoring her long Wyoming roots. Born in 1925 and raised near Veteran and Torrington, she farmed for decades before moving to Cheyenne to live near her daughter and now enjoys life surrounded by multiple generations.
   

4. Ward Livestock Red White & Blue Bull Sale (tsln.com) — A Cheyenne-based buyer, TKR Properties, paid $17,500 for a top Hereford bull at the Ward Livestock Red White & Blue Bull Sale held near Laramie. The brisk fall auction drew a full house and strong prices across Hereford, SimFord, Angus, and SimAngus bulls, with several Wyoming ranches—Cheyenne included—investing heavily in high-elevation-tested genetics.
   

5. GCSD Student Councils step up at annual meeting (torringtontelegram.com) — Cheyenne recently hosted the Wyoming Association of Student Councils’ annual meeting, where more than 1,000 student leaders gathered, including 51 from Goshen County. Local students led workshops, earned statewide leadership honors, and were recognized in Cheyenne for impactful service projects supporting the Wyoming Hunger Initiative, Make-A-Wish Wyoming, and regional blood drives.
