Special Meeting Of Cheyenne City’s Governing Body To Take Place On June 16th

CHEYENNE – There will be a special meeting of the City of Cheyenne’s Governing Body held remotely at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16th. Information and links for public access can be found on the City’s Electronic Conference Meeting webpage and is also listed below. The purpose of the meeting is to hold a Public Hearing for proposed budgets for the City of Cheyenne and Board of Public Utilities and for the Governing Body’s approval of FY 2021 City of Cheyenne Budget in accordance with the Wyoming Public Meetings Act and Wyoming State Statue Sections 16-4-109 and 16-4-111.

Additional items for the agenda include Ordinances amending City Code Sections 5.12.110, Open Container-Sales & Consumption-Exceptions, and Section 5.12.120, Special Use Areas-Special Event Permit of Chapter 5.12, Alcoholic Liquor and Malt Beverages, of Title 4, Business Licenses and Regulations, Section 8.40.063, Food Service Establishments-Sidewalk Cafes, of Chapter 8.40, Food and Food Service Establishments of Title 8, Health and Safety, of the Municipal Code of the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and a Resolution creating a Special District for the ‘Summertime on the Street Event’ to be held on June 20, 2020, in which the possession of open containers is permitted between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Limited in-person public participation (9 people at any one time) are welcome to join in Committee Room 104 of the Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) to make public comment. If more than the occupancy number are in attendance, members of the public will be asked to wait outside the Committee Room and accommodations will be made to rotate participants to comment. Public in-person participants are encouraged to wear a mask in the Municipal Building and social distancing (all persons minimum 6 feet away from all other persons) will be strictly enforced.

Individuals will need to provide their first and last name along with the corresponding agenda item number (ex: 8a or 12c) you wish to provide public comment on.
