CHEYENNE – A swearing-in ceremony for incoming Senior Municipal Judge Tony Ross will take place Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.).

At the ceremony, Ross will take the oath of office administered by Wyoming Supreme Court Justice Kate M. Fox. The ceremony is open to the public with light refreshments made available.
The Mayoral appointment was unanimously approved by the Governing Body at the December 19th City Council Meeting.

Ross brings over 40 years of law practicing experience to the City’s municipal court system. The Cheyenne native makes his way to City Hall from Ross, Ross & Santini, L.L.C. where he specialized in civil litigation. That firm – formally known as Ross & Ross, Attorneys at Law – was formed by Tony and his father Vincent in 1979. Ross served in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1995 to 2004. In 2005 he was elected to the Wyoming Senate, later serving as President of the Senate in 2013, Senate Majority Floor Leader in the 2011-12 term, and Senate Vice President in the 2009-10 term.
Ross obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1978 and is a Cum Laude honors graduate from the University of Puget Sound.
