An end-of-year report from financial website GoBankingRates.com listed the wealthiest ZIP codes in all 50 states, and the top two in Alabama are 35223 and 35213.

While Mountain Brook's 35223 ZIP code is the wealthiest in Alabama, the area would likely not make the top 5 in most states, as states such as California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York have at least five ZIP codes where the median household income exceeds $200,000.
