3 Men Arrested In Homewood Identify Theft Case

Three suspects were charged with trafficking in stolen identities after an investigation last week.

HOMEWOOD, AL — Three men have been arrested and charged with trafficking in stolen identities in an investigation that began last week in Homewood. An Alabama Media Group report said Brian James, 18, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; Gregory Jones, 25, of Dacula, Ga.; and Teron Battle, 28, of Brooklyn, N.Y. were taken into custody over the weekend.

The investigation was conducted by The Secret Service Financial Crimes Task Force, made up of investigators from the U.S. Secret Service, Homewood Police Department, Vestavia Hills Police Department, Mountain Brook Police Department, Walmart Global Investigations, Hueytown Police Department and the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
