Adopt A Golden Birmingham Hosts Fundraiser

A Night of Golden Opportunities is themed "Homeward Bound" this year and will raise money for Adopt A Golden Birmingham.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Birmingham's adoptable golden retrievers will be on full display at the sixth annual Night of Golden Opportunities. The charity event, hosted by Adopt A Golden Birmingham, is themed "Homeward Bound" this year and will raise money for the displaced dogs' medical care and home placement while also recognizing all of the dogs that have been placed in loving homes.

The event will be at the Park Crest Carriage House on Sept. 21 from 5:30 to 9 p.m., and will feature live music by local band Cotton Bird, food, dancing, craft beer, wine and both a live and silent auction. Some of the items up for bidding will include trips to Louisville and New Orleans as well as celebrity-autographed photos.

Tickets are $150 apiece. All proceeds go to benefit Adopt A Golden Birmingham. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Birmingham Patch morning newsletter.)
