Alabama Power To Repave Cherokee Road

For the rest of the week, Alabama Power will repave along Cherokee Road where crews worked earlier in August.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — For the rest of the week, Alabama Power will repave along Cherokee Road where crews worked earlier in August between 280 and Sherwood Road. The work will cause some delays.

On Thursday, Sept. 28, crews will work from about noon to 3 p.m., and on Friday, Sept. 29, work will start after rush hour and should last bout four hours.

Both lanes of Cherokee Road will be closed off, but residents will be able to leave and enter their homes. Officers will be stationed at the intersection of US-280 and Cherokee as well as Cherokee and Sherwood Road.
