BHM 26.2 Marathon Will Cause Road Closures Sunday

Expect detours and delays Sunday, April 28 as the BHM 26.2 marathon makes its way through Mountain Brook.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - Motorists in Mountain Brook this weekend will need to plan ahead if they want to avoid traffic delays and detours on some of the city's streets. The BHM 26.2 marathon is scheduled for this Sunday, April 28, and the route includes many of Mountain Brook's busiest roads.

The Mountain Brook Police Department said the event will affect the roadways in Mountain Brook from 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. - namely Cahaba Road and Culver Road.

The race is entering Mountain Brook on Shades Creek Parkway and then heading north on Cahaba Road. The northbound lane of Cahaba Road will be closed to traffic from Shades Creek Parkway to Culver Road during this event. Petticoat Lane will also be closed to traffic during the event.
