Billy's Sports Grill To Close After 40 Years In Mountain Brook

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - A mainstay in Mountain Brook's restaurant community for more than four decades will close its doors for good this month. As of July 14, Billy’s Sports Grill will be closing its English Village location due to the inability to negotiate a satisfactory lease renewal with The Barber Companies.

"It is with much regret & sadness that this action must be taken at this location as it has many loyal patrons and has been a tradition to many for forty years,"said owner Terry Humphries. "Once it was known that closing was imminent of the English Village location, a search of other locations was initiated within the three villages without success."

Billy's expanded its original space in English Village in the 90s, taking over the space next door to it. As businesses and restaurants in the village came and went, Billy's was a constant.

Billy’s will keep its locations in Liberty Park and Northport open.
