Birmingham Botanical Gardens To Host Annual Fall Plant Sale

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens will host the 2017 iteration of the Fall Plant Sale on Oct. 21 and 22.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The Birmingham Botanical Gardens will host the 2017 iteration of the Fall Plant Sale on Oct. 21 and 22. The sale, hosted in the Gardens' Blount Plaza, will offer the opportunity to buy fall herbs, trees, annuals, shrubs, natives and perennials, among other options.

All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Gardens directly, and help to fund their programs like Discovery Field Trips, Plant Adventures and Adult and Family Classes that increase public knowledge of plants and the environment. All of the trees available at the sale were specifically chosen to be compatible with the Birmingham climate, as well as plenty of native and non-native plants.

The sale will operate on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Birmingham Patch morning newsletter.)
