Brittany Wagner Of Netflix's Docuseries 'Last Chance U' To Be Featured At Mountain Brook Chamber Luncheon

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The September edition of the Mountain Brook Chamber Luncheon will host a familiar face to Netflix viewers. On Sept. 26, the Chamber of Commerce will present a talk from Brittany Wagner at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wagner has been featured in both season of "Last Chance U," a docuseries about football players at East Mississippi Community College who have been removed from Division 1 schools for academic or disciplinary reasons. Wagner serves as an academic advisor at EMCC. The series highlights the trend of players who use playing at junior colleges like EMCC as a means of getting back onto Division 1 teams. EMCC has provided players that have gone on to play at prominent SEC football programs.

Wagner will present her traveling presentation, 10 Thousand Pencils. The luncheon is sponsored by Great Smiles Orthodontics.
