Council Approves Two More Stop Signs On Brookwood Road
Brookwood Road will get two additional stop signs thanks to an ordinance approved by the Mountain Brook City Council this week.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - Drivers on the heavily-traveled Brookwood Road will have to make a couple of additional stops soon. The Mountain Brook City Council approved the additioon of two more stop signs on the road, bringing the total to eight stop signs along the street.
According to a Village Living report, the signs will be in the vicinity of Crosshill Road. Brookwood Road already has six stop signs - two of which have been added in recent years.
Consultant Richard Caudle said the stop signs have two main goals: to give cars on either side of Crosshill Road a gap to enter the roadway along Brookwood Road, and to make each part of the intersection more standard.
