Crestline Residents Report Brown Water In Homes
Residents in a Crestline neighborhood spent Monday concerned over brown water coming from their faucets.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Residents in a Crestline neighborhood spent Monday concerned over brown water coming from their faucets. According to CBS 42, the Birmingham Water Works Board confirmed that the discoloration was due to maintenance on a water main.
BWWB told the news outlet that the main was repaired over the summer, and when the main was reactivated, water in downtown Birmingham and surrounding areas became discolored. The company said the water is not contaminated in any way, and that discoloration should begin to clear up by noon Tuesday.
Some residents were already reporting cleared water by late Monday night.
