Final Basketball Rankings: Spartans Finish At No. 2

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The final polls of the 2020-21 high school basketball season were released by the Alabama Sports Writers Association Thursday, and Mountain Brook's boys team finds itself ranked no. 2 in Class 6A heading into area tournament play.

The 22-6 Spartans have gone on an impressive run through January, and have won their last five games by an average margin of 26 points. The Spartans face Hewitt-Trussville Friday in a non-area game.

The area tournament begins Wednesday, when the top-seeded Spartans face the fourth seed Briarwood.
