Infant Swimming Resource Comes To The LJCC
The Levite Jewish Community Center will offer Infant Swimming Resource instruction for kids up to 6 years old.
MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Summer may be over, but that does not mean that young children should not become trained on swimming safety, regardless of how young the child may be. The Levite Jewish Community Center recognizes that, and will now offer Infant Swimming Resource training for children this fall.
Infant Swimming Resource goes beyond traditional swim instruction by teaching children ISR Self-Rescue techniques designed to help them survive should they reach the water alone. ISR offers individualized swimming instruction for infants and young children ages 6 months – 6 years, teaching competence and confidence in the water.
ISR instruction take place over a 6-week course where children will swim five days a week for 10 min per day with a Certified ISR Instructor. One-on-one lessons will be customized to their age and developmental reediness, and will teach them how to stay say until help arrives should they need to.
