BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Levite Jewish Community Center has named an interim executive director as its newly formed search team looks for a permanent leader. Aimee Johnson begins her new position this week.

Johnson comes to the LJCC with 25 years of nonprofit management experience in the Birmingham area, most recently as the executive director of the Alabama Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Meanwhile, the Board of Directors is putting together an Executive Director Search Committee that will work toward making a permanent executive director recommendation this year with feedback from members and staff.
