Liquor Store, Specialty Shop Coming To Lane Parke

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Two businesses plan to move to Mountain Brook's Lane Parke development in the next few months. ABC Select Spirits and The Happy Olive will both open in the coming months in the 14-acre, $140 million commercial, office and residential development.

The state is moving its ABC store from its current location uphill from the village to Lane Parke in January 2020. It will be located in 5,600 square feet on Rele Street across from the reopened Mexican restaurant Sol Y Luna. The square footage is nearly triple the size of the former store, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report.

The Happy Olive — the second location of a long-popular specialty shop in Fairhope — is opening Oct. 14 adjacent to Swoop. The store specializes in Mediterranean foods and flavors.

The two new tenants are part of a bevy of turnover in the development, which is still building its next phase of the project.
