Mountain Brook To Celebrate AGZA Green Zone Certification

Mountain Brook is the first city in Alabama to receive AGZA Green Zone Certifications for Crestline, Mountain Brook and English villages.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook is the first city in Alabama to receive AGZA Green Zone Certifications, which were awarded for Crestline Village, English Village, Mountain Brook Village and Overton Park.

The city will celebrate the honor Monday at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

An AGZA Green Zone is a defined area of land on which all routine maintenance is performed with battery electric equipment and/ or manual tools. The minimal requirements for an AGZA Certified Green Zone are the complete elimination of two-stroke equipment used for routine maintenance. Gas blower concessions are made for heavier and seasonal workloads.
