Mountain Brook Comes Through Tropical Storm Irma Unscathed

Mountain Brook managed to avoid any real damage during Monday's storms.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook residents spent Monday braced for Tropical Storm Irma and came out the other side almost completely untouched. Public Works Director Ronald Vaughn said that the city had surprisingly little disturbance on his end.

"We really dodged a bullet," Vaughn said. "We had one call about a small limb, a little bit of debris, but we didn't even have to crank up the chainsaws."

While Tuesday's weather could contribute to more damage, but Vaughn said it's unlikely.
