Mountain Brook Cross Country Teams Place 2nd In State

Mountain Brook's girls and boys cross country teams each finished second in the state meet over the weekend.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook's boys and girls cross country teams each finished second in the state for the season, after the state meet this past weekend at Oakville Indian Mounds Park.

The girls team placed a close second behind Homewood, with a score of 68 points, to Homewood's 59. The boys team's 73 points finished behind Scottsboro's 31.

Mountain Brook's Elizabeth Robertson won the race with a time of 18:43. Clark Stewart, Reagan Riley, Kennedy Hamilton and Lucy Benton also finished in the top 25.

Clayton Collins (9th), John Roberts (10th), Davis Plowden (15th), Bibb Albright (19th) and Harry Clark (25th) finished in the top 25 for the boys.
