Mountain Brook Election Results: Garner Projected Winner

The results for Mountain Brook City Council Place 2: Gerald Garner is the projected winner over Philip Black for Place 2.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — In Mountain Brook's only contested race in Tuesday's municipal elections, Place 2 was up for grabs, with all other offices without challengers.

With all precincts reporting, the results are as listed below:

Philip Black: 1,566 votes

Gerald Garner 1,619 votes

Mayor Stewart Welch had no challenger, nor did City Council President Virginia Smith, and both were approved to retain office by the Mountain Brook City Council in July.

Results will be certified September 1, once provisional ballots, if any, have been considered pursuant to Alabama law.
