Mountain Brook Enters Home Opener As No. 1 Class 6A Team

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook's varsity football team will finally play a home game in Spartan Stadium Thursday night, and will do so as the top-ranked team in Class 6A. After a 28-7 win over Huffman last Friday, the Spartans will take on Shades Valley Thursday.

The Alabama Sports Writers Association has the Spartans tanked no. 1 in Class 6A again this week, with the team receiving 17 out of 23 first-place votes.
