Mountain Brook Homicide Case: Hoover Woman Identified As Victim
Police have released the name of the victim found dead in a parking lot behind Mountain Brook High School, and have a suspect in custody.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Police have released the name of the victim found dead behind Mountain Brook High School early Sunday morning. The victim is Megan Louise Montgomery, 31, from Hoover.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Megan’s family during this time of such tragic loss," said Mountain Brook Police Chief Ted Cook.
The suspect is 45-year-old Jason McIntosh, a former Hoover police officer who was arrested earlier this year in a domestic abuse case, and was investigated before that after an incident during which he shot his wife in the arm during an altercation. He resigned from the Hoover Police Department after his arrest in May.

Cook said McIntosh turned himself in at the Mountain Brook Police Department shorty after noon Monday. He will be held in the Mountain Brook jail until warrants are obtained from the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
Montgomery's father, Johnny "Ironman" Montgomery, is a well-known triathlete and real estate agent in Birmingham.

Her body was discovered with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Mountain Brook Athletic Complex just after 4 a.m. Sunday.
