Mountain Brook Kids Learn About City Hall Through Little Leaders Day
The event, sponsored by Leadership Mountain Brook, gives children the opportunity to learn about City Hall's leadership.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook's 3rd through 6th graders will get the opportunity to see inside City Hall in an upcoming event. The city will host Little Leader Day on Oct. 1, an educational experience where children will learn about the city's leadership and what they do from day to day.
The event is sponsored by Leadership Mountain Brook, a class at Mountain Brook High School that teaches community organization and development, and will include an appearance from Mayor Stewart Welch and presentations from department leaders. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the day and will get to put their handprint on the Tot Lot fence.
Little Leader Day will be held at City Hall from 1 to 3 p.m. and costs $30 per child, which includes a snack, T-shirt and the book "Buttons Explores the Brook."
