Mountain Brook Parkway Closed Until Noon Due To Fallen Trees

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Fallen trees and downed power lines have forced the Mountain Brook Police Department to close Mountain Brook Parkway Tuesday morning between Overbook Road and Southwood Road.

A report by the MBPD said the traffic light is out at the intersection of Mtn. Brook Parkway and Overbrook Road. Alabama Power, Birmingham Water Works and public works have been notified, and the road is expected to re-open by noon.

Police say to take an alternate route through the area until the road is cleared.
