Mountain Brook PD Looking For Man Who Fled Traffic Stop

The suspect is believed to no longer be in the area, according to Mountain Brook police.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook police are looking for a man who they said fled an early morning traffic stop Tuesday.

Officers said they pulled over a vehicle carrying two people in the 3700 block of Montevallo Road around 1 a.m. During the traffic stop, police said a man from the pulled-over vehicle fled the area on foot.

Police took the other person from the traffic stop into custody. Officers didn't specify on what charges.

The man who ran off from officers remains at large and no longer believed to be in the area, according to police.

He is described as a white man with short, blonde hair and blue eyes. Police said he was last seen wearing a gray shirt, khaki pants and black hat.

Out of an abundance of caution, police said they have increased patrols in the area.
