WASHINGTON, DC - A Mountain Brook native just completed one of the more prestigious internships in the country, having worked alongside Sen. Richard Shelby in Washington, D.C. Tucker was chosen out of numerous applicants for the position.

During his time interning for Senator Shelby, Tucker researched critical issues for legislative staffers by attending hearings and compiling memos on topics such as immigration, trade, and banking regulation. Additionally, Tucker led numerous constituents on tours of the U.S. Capitol building and assisted Alabamians with various requests.

“The Congressional Internship Program provides students with the unique opportunity to experience our nation’s legislative process first-hand,” Shelby said. “Jack Tucker was the model intern. He did an outstanding job assisting with the day-to-day tasks of my office, while also getting a realistic understanding of our federal government and other topics taught in a classroom. I am confident that he will go on to succeed in his future endeavors.”
