Mountain Brook Restaurants Featured In Breakin' Bread Festival
Breakin' Bread Festival will feature some of the city's best food and some of Mountain Brook local restaurants.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Birmingham's food, wine and beer festival is returning to Sloss Furnaces for its 15th year with some local restaurants in tow. On Sunday, Sept. 24 from 1 to 5 p.m., Breakin' Bread Festival will feature some of the city's best food, including Mountain Brook businesses like Avo, Continental Bakery, Chez Lulu, Mafiaoza's and Vino.
The festival, sponsored by Birmingham Originals, will include sampling from over 30 restaurants, bars and breweries. Tickets are $35 for general admission, which includes unlimited food samples and two drink tickets, $99 for VIP tickets, which includes unlimited food samples, wine and beer; a lounge pass; gift bags and early entry at 12:30. Children 12 and under get in free.
Proceeds from the event go to the Jones Valley Teaching Farm's Woodlawn High School Urban Farm project, which benefits local high school students by giving them a space to participate in state-accredited science.
