Mountain Brook School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, More

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL— The first day of school in Mountain Brook is August 14 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Mountain Brook School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/21-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

• 12/19: End of Semester
• 12/20-1/3: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/3: No School (Local Professional Learning Day)
• 1/4: Students Return to School
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Day)

February

• 2/15: System Professional Learning Day
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/25-3/29: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/24: Last Day for Students
• 5/28: Professional Learning Day/Last Day for Teachers
