Mountain Brook Stays Atop ASWA Poll

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The Alabama Sports Writers Association football poll Wednesday shows Mountain Brook again as the state's top team in Class 6A. The Spartans officially received a win over Huntsville by forfeit last week, but beat Calera 31-14 Saturday in a game of no record.

Whether the Spartans' win over Calera played into the ASWA's rankings remains to be seen, but Mountain Brook sits atop the 6A rankings for the second week in a row hoing into its game Friday against Woodlawn.
