Mountain Brook's Avo & Dram Announce Closing
The popular Mountain Brook Village restaurant Avo, and the Dram whiskey bar have closed.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - The popular restaurant Avo and its whiskey bar counterpart Dram in Mountain Brook Village have officially closed. A post by the owners on social media indicated no plans of re-opening.
The business - opened 10 years ago - was open for the last time Dec. 23. Dram announced via Facebook that the closure stemmed from a failure to come to an agreement with the landlord of the building located at 2721 Cahaba Road.
"We fought until the bitter end, hoping against hope, that we could strike a deal with our landlord, but he had other ideas," the post stated. "We had hoped to be here for generations, so this is a hard blow. Cheers to all the friends we made along the way and to the many memories we shared..."
