Mountain Brook's Davis Among Multiple Spartans Honored By ASWA

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The Alabama Sports Writers Association honored two Mountain Brook High School basketball players and bestowed its top 6A coaches award to Spartans head coach Tyler Davis.

Davis was named the ASWA 6A boys Coach of the Year Sunday when the organization's All-State teams were announced.

Spartans senior Rayven Turner was named to the 6A All-State first team, and senior guard Bo Barber was an honorable mention selection.

Turner has committed to play his college basketball at the Air Force Academy.

The girls Player of the Year in each class will be announced April 3 while the boys Player of the Year winners will follow on April 4.

The Super 5 boys and girls teams will be released on April 8 with Miss Basketball announced on April 10 and Mr. Basketball on April 11.
