New Restaurants Come To Mountain Brook Village

Mountain Brook Village is home to some new eateries this month, adding to what is becoming a mecca for restaurants.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, Al - Gradually, Mountain Brook Village has become home to some of the Birmingham area's most popular and critically acclaimed restaurants. The village has added to that culinary lineup this month, with the arrival of two new eateries.

Icehouse, a Texas-style barbecue restaurant, opened its doors in the middle of the month, and MidiCi, an upscale Neapolitan pizzeria franchise announced this week it will open in Mountain Brook Village as well.

Icehouse offers pulled pork, smoked turkey, smoked sausage and barbecue bologna, in addition to barbecue tacos, brisket or pork nachos, West Texas wedge salad, and house chips and queso. Sides include German potato salad, creamed corn and spicy pinto beans. Desserts include pecan pie and Texas sheet cake.

Icehouse is located at 2708 Culver Road. It is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday.

MidiCi will feature an open-air kitchen with two wood-firing ovens hand made in Italy. will be located at 270 Rele St. in Lane Parke. It will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Friday and from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays.
