Oakworth Capital Bank Opens New HQ

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - Oakworth Capital Bank opened its new headquarters last week, occupying what was the headquarters for ServisFirst Bank on Shades Creek Parkway. Oakworth had been headquartered in Homewood at Southbridge Parkway.

Oakworth has been one of the Birmingham banking scene's biggest success stories over the last several years, opening in 2008 when the banking industry was in a free fall amidst the recession. The bank's growth prompted the company to expand its operations, and when ServisFirst announced last year it would be building a new headquarters in Homewood, Oakworth purchased the building.

The bank occupies two of the three floors at the building – 30,000 square feet of 45,000 square feet – at its new location. Those floors were reconfigured prior to the bank moving in. Oakworth currently operates from this location as well as two additional locations in Montgomery and Mobile.

ServisFirst had completely vacated the Shades Creek building by fall 2017. It opened its new headquarters at Woodcrest Place in Homewood in October last year.
