Shuttle Service Pilot Program Coming To Mountain Brook Nov. 5

A shuttle service between Mountain Brook's original villages will begin as a pilot program by the BJCTA.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - The Birmingham-Jefferson County TRansit Authority is beginning a pilot program for a bus shuttle service between Mountain Brook Village, English Village and Crestline Village. The three-month-long pilot program will begin November 5.

The program, called the Spartan Shuttle, is a circulator that is intended to stir commerce, decrease traffic and parking congestion and increase connectivity among the original Mountain Brook villages. There is no cost to use the service.

The route will run Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Park-and-rides will be available along the route at Office Park, Shades Valley Presbyterian Church and Mountain Brook Baptist Church.
