SliceFest To Feature Yacht Rock Revue June 1
The annual block party in Lakeview will feature five live acts and a DJ in addition to food and activities.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The annual block party in Birmingham's Lakeview district will take place June 1, and this year features one of the region's most popular musical acts. Yacht Rock Review will headline this year's Slicefest, with four other music acts and a DJ included on the bill as well.
This is the eight year of the festival, put together by Slice Pizza & Brewhouse on 29th Street South. The event begins at 2 p.m. and lasts until midnight.
In addition to Yacht Rock Revue, Magic City Hippies, CBDB, The Stooges Brass Band and Bailey Ingle will perform throughout the day. As well, Lakeview’s own PURDY will DJ between sets.

“This year we wanted to turn our attention back to our roots – back to the spirit of the original few SliceFests where we brought people together to enjoy a beautiful day full of pizza, music and beer,” said Jason Bajalieh, co-owner of Slice. “We’re returning to what made us what we are today - a block party scored by local and regional artists where we invite the whole of Birmingham to come shut down the street and party with us!”
Attendees will again have access to a wide selection of local craft beer and numerous slices of specialty pizza, along with additional food and drink options from nearby restaurants and supporting sponsors.
