Water Works Project Slated For Canterbury Road And Chester Road
A Birmingham Water Works project will begin in June on Canterbury Road and Chester Road, and will cause some traffic issues.
MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The Birmingham Water Works Board will begin a major water line upgrade on Canterbury Road between Overhill Road and Culver Road and on Chester Road between Cahaba Road and the cul-de-sac on June 1.
This project will upgrade the existing water mains on both roads, and is expected to take 75 calendar days to complete.

At times, portions of these roads will be closed and traffic detoured around the work areas. The BWWB construction crew is the pipeline contractor on this project.
