CLEVELAND, OH — Two former Clay-Chalkville High School football players are headed to the NFL after draft week this year, as former Cougar and University of Michigan standout Nico Collins was drafted by the Houston Texans and T.J. Simmons was signed as a free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Houston drafted Collins, who graduated from CCHS in 2017, with the 25th pick of the third round Friday. Collins opted out of the 2020 season.

Simmons, who signed with the University of Alabama when he graduated from Clay-Chalkville in 2016, transferred to West Virginia University where he led the Mountaineers in touchdown catches in 2020.
