St. Clair County Drug Bust Yields 12 Pounds Of Heroin

A California man faces drug charges after an arrest in Leeds Wednesday that recovered 12 pounds of heroin.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, AL — A drug bust in Leeds led to the arrest of a 36-year-old California man, and the seizure of approximately 12 pounds of heroin. Alejandro Lopez of Santa Ana, California has been charged with drug trafficking and is being held in St. Clair County Jail on $1.5 million bond.

The arrest was made by the Leeds Police Department, with the help of the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office.
